Company History

October 1957Sanyo Seisakusho was established in Kariya-shi, Aichi with an initial 1,000,000 Yen in capital.
September 1968Sanyo Real Estate was established in Igaya-cho in Kariya-shi with an initial 1,000,000 Yen in capital.
September 1968Sanyo Seisakusho moved to Igaya-cho in Kariya-shi.
November 1968The legal status of Sanyo Seisakusho was changed from a private limited company to a limited company, and the capital invested increased to 10,000,000 Yen.
April 1978The die division was spun off as a separate company called Sanpo Kogyo Co. Ltd. with a capital investment of 5,000,000 Yen.
August 1981Sanpo Kogyo built and relocated to a new factory facility at Maruoka.
August 1986The Kariya-shi, Maruoka plant was built with the aim of reducing labor requirements. Automatic transmission production and assembly was transferred there.
August 1987Efficiency gains were made by concentrating machinery in the Second Head Office Factory and changing the layout.
January 1988An automatic transmission assembly line was added to the Maruoka plant, bringing the total number of lines to two.
April 1988A spot welding division was added to the Maruoka plant.
April 1990And additional automatic transmission line was added to the Maruoka plant, bringing the total number of lines to three.
April 1995Sanpo Kogyo's invested capital was increased to 10,000,000 Yen.
June 1996The legal status of Sanyo Real Estate was changed from a private limited company to a limited company, and the capital invested increased to 10,000,000 Yen.
July 1997Sanpo Kogyo company name was changed to Sanyo Die Create Co. Ltd.
August 1997Both the Head Office and factory moved to a brand new facility at our current site.
June 1999Sanyo Seisakusho was awarded the ISO9001 standard.
September 2001Sanyo Seisakusho was awarded the ISO14001 standard.
November 2002Sanyo Seisakusho Vietnam Co. Ltd. was established.
July 2003Sanyo Seisakusho Vietnam Co. Ltd. began operations.
January 2005An increase in business necessitated the building of a third factory building.
February 2005An additional 500 ton automatic transmission line was added to the number 2 plant.
